Hanger Lighting Series 2018
Hanger light series consists of three types of lamps: probe lamp, stand lamp and pendant lamp. Inspired by the simple shape and function of the buckle, it was designed to allow users to decorate the interior by freely hanging the fabric or translucent material onto the buckle-shaped light head.
The shape and color of light change in various ways according to the material fastened to the buckle. We interpreted a light for illuminating as a light for viewing, and the cloth can also be used as a partition to divide space or environment.
Process
Euljiro, a pivot of Korea's modernization before, is a region that was declined with the rapid development of technology. But this area has recently been spotlighted as a creative spot as many artists and designers have been gathering again. The project was started as part of efforts to create a market of co-prosperity between Euljiro lighting stores and designers with potential.
We wanted to make light indirectly visible with a cloth. The cloth that could transmit light was selected so that light is not blocked and the cloth can act as a partition on purposes. Designed by SWNA and manufactured by Kia Light, the Buckle Light series consists of three types. (probe lamp, stand lamp and pendant lamp).
At the bottom, a terrazzo column keeps the balance of the floor lamp. The hanging cloth can divide a space.
